 After a prescription has been made the physician, the physician commences to make observations. The whole future of the patient may depend on these observation and conclusion made by physician 



1st observation:

A prolonged aggravation and final decline of the patient 


Interpretation 


It has been a mistake, the antipsoric was too deep, it has established destruction. 

In this state the vital reaction was impossible. 

It is incurable case. 


What to do 


Antidote the medicine 

In incurable and doubtful cases it is advisable to give nothing more than the 30th or 200th potency. 


Prognosis – 


Unfavorable  

  


2nd observation:

 Long aggravation but final and slow improvement  


Interpretation 


If after the doses, by the end of weeks he is little better and symptoms are better 

Pathological changes are in early reversible stage 


What to do  


Not to disturb till the action of the doses has completed.

3rd observation: 

Aggravation is quick short and strong with rapid improvement of the patient 


Interpretation 


The remedy is correct 

The reaction of the economy is vigorous 

No tendency to any structural change in vital organs (or found in the surface, in organs that are not vital) 


What to do 


Stop the medicine and observe till improvement take place 


Prognosis

4th observation:

 No aggravation with recovery of patient 


Interpretation 


In this case, the selection of remedy, dose, potency is suitable. 

No pathological change presents the disease is in the functional level. 


What to do 


Not to disturb the action of medicine 


Prognosis 


Favorable 

An ideal cure (according Hering’s law of cure) 

 

 


5th observation: 

The amelioration come first and the aggravation come afterwards  


Interpretation 


After administration of the remedy the patient says he is better and symptoms seems to be better but at the end of the week or 4th to 5th days all the symptoms are worse 

Here 2 possibilities 

  • Either remedy was a superficial remedy and act as palliative  
  • The patient was incurable and remedy was somewhat suitable 


What to do 


Retake the case and more similar medicine is to be prescribed

6th observation: 

Too short relief of the symptoms 


Interpretation 


In this case when there is short relief of the symptoms, the case should be examine and the obstacle to cure should be found out. 

In this case the patient may have done something to interrupt action of remedy 

  • In acute case – too short amelioration in acute case occurs because of high grade inflammatory condition of organs which are threatened by the processes going on. 
  • In chroic case – if it is too short amelioration in chronic diseases it means that there is structural changes and organs are destroyed or being destroyed or in very precarious condition.

7th observation: 

A full time amelioration of the symptoms, yet no special relief of the system  


Interpretation 


It is seen in latent condition or latent existing organic conditions the improvement is at certain degree.

Watch the change of symptoms of patient and consider using low potency

8th observation: 

Some patients prove every remedy they get 


Interpretation 


After administration of dose of a high potency they will go on proving that medicine and while under the influence of that medicine they are not influence of that medicine they are not under the influence of any other else.

9th observation:

 The action of medicine upon the provers  


Interpretation 

Healthy provers are always benefited by proving, if they are properly conducted. The constitutional state of an individual about a proper, and to write these down and subtract them from proving. 

 


10th observation:

 New symptoms appearing after the remedy 


Interpretation


After administration of remedy new symptoms appears then the prescription should be suspected. 


What to do 


  • If symptoms are not of serious nature wait till the new symptoms pass off than another most similar medicine is to be selected after taking the case refresh. 
  • If the symptoms are not serious nature it has to be antidoted and another most similar medicine is to be selected after taking the case afresh.

11th observation:

 When old symptoms are observed to reappear 


Interpretation


It is quite common thing for old symptoms to appear after aggravation has come. 

Here symptoms disappear in reverse order those symptoms that are present subside and old symptoms keep coming up 


What to do 


When old symptoms comeback and disappear stop the medicine 

If old symptoms come back and stay repetition of the dose is necessary 


Prognosis 


Very good (favorable reaction is showing classical herring’s law of cure) 



12th observation: 

Symptoms take the wrong direction  

 

Interpretation 


After administration of dose if disease is transfer from circumstances to center 

Ex. If we prescribe for rheumatism of knee and relief take place at once but patient is taken down with violent distress that settles in the region of heart. 


What to do  


Antidote the medicine
